Professional Headshots

The studio is built for professional headshots only. Full studio lighting with flashes, light softeners and reflectors, neutral backdrops in grey, black, light and dark, and dedicated portrait lenses that blur the background and draw the eye to the face. Exactly the same equipment goes out with the mobile studio, so the result is identical in both places.

What the studio gives beyond the equipment is full control. In the same space, with the same lighting and the same backdrop, it is possible to produce a whole series of images with one consistent look that serves LinkedIn, the team page on the website, the email signature and press publications. It is also closed and quiet, with no passers-by and no time pressure, and that changes the result. Most people arrive at professional headshots tense, and that tension shows in the picture.

When not to shoot in the studio. Someone whose time is the expensive resource, an executive who will not clear two hours in the calendar for travel, or a whole team that cannot be taken out of the office, is photographed on site. There is also an advantage that is talked about less: people photograph better in a familiar environment, and they are calmer and more natural in their own office than in an unfamiliar place. Setup at the office takes twenty to thirty minutes, and any space of three by three meters is enough.

With group photography the difference becomes practical: on one photo day at the Jerusalem Municipality, thirty-five employees were photographed in six hours, all on the same neutral backdrop and with the same look.
