Background
Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with Israeli embassies and consulates around the world, used photographs by Sharon Gabay to tell the story of the State of Israel — on the leading official profiles of Israeli public diplomacy, foremost the main account @stateofisrael and the Arabic and Persian accounts, which address hundreds of millions of speakers across the Middle East.
These are not commercial placements but official diplomatic content: photographs the state chose to place at the front of the face it presents to the world. The publications span years, dozens of accounts and seven principal languages — and beyond them, embassies' local languages.
